The Cheam Chamber of Trade’s Late Night Shopping Event attracts over 3,000 visitors to the Village every year. The Event is held on the evening of the first Friday of December and falls this year on the 4th of December 2015.

This year’s theme is Star Wars and will feature Darth Vader switching on the Christmas tree lights at the Cheam War Memorial Green outside Cheam Library. The evening will include various sub events at Whitehall, Cheam Library, Cheam Baptist Church and at shops and venues in the Village. Radio Jackie will provide music and entertainment on the night and there will be up to 30 stalls with crafts, toys, jewellery, wood products and various food and drink on offer. Fairground rides and children’s activities will also be in place. Radio Jackie’s Mobile unit Van will add to the Entertainment.

To become a sponsor for the event, please email sponsors@cheam-traders.co.uk with your name, contact telephone number and the sponsorship level at which you would like to participate. One of our volunteers will then contact you to collect the cheque or arrange a bank transfer and the logo and branding as appropriate.

May The Fourth Be with You !

The Cheam Chamber of Trade’s Late Night Shopping Event attracts over 3,000 visitors to the Village every year.The Event is held on the evening of the first Friday of December and falls this year on the 4th of December 2015.

The event costs several thousand pounds to produce, even though all the work is put in by volunteers and traders and so we are looking for an increased level and number of sponsors.

Whitehall and most shops will remain open throughout the evening

3pm   Parking Bay Suspensions in Station Way

5pm – 9pm         Whitehall opens for their festive evening

Visit Santa’s Grotto, festive trail for all the family and Christmas shop

5pm                       Road closure commences in Station Way

5.30pm                 Radio Jackie 107.8FM Begins Broadcasting

                               Fairground rides in Station Way & Stalls throughout the Village

5pm – 9pm         Cheam Library Christmas songs, stories and crafts begin 3-7yrs

(small fee for craft workshop)

5pm – 8pm       Be Beautiful will become a ‘Be Beautiful Princess Boutique’ for children

6pm                     St Cecilia Chorus – performs regularly at St Andrew’s Cheam, will bring a group of around 20 to sing Carols at the Memorial Green Outside Library.

6.25pm                Princess Leia,  Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers , introduced by Radio Jackie turn on the Christmas Lights at Cheam Library Memorial Green

6.30 pm                     St Cecilia Chorus continue with Carol Singing at the Momorial Green.

7.00 pm                     St Cecilia Chorus continue with Carol Singing at Crossroads alongwith two other Choirs..

7.30pm               Radio Jackie to judge ‘Best Dressed Star Wars Character’ competition

8.00pm               Morris Dancers performing outside Dragonfly

8.30pm                 Shops and stalls begin to close

9pm                     End of road closure in Station Way
